Queen of British fashion Vivienne Westwood showcased another collection of avant-guarde glamour this season whilst remaining true to her classic deconstructed garments and sophisticated gowns with a slick urban edge.
Tailoring featured throughout the collection, typically with Westwoods deconstructed approach, whether it’s the asymmetric button up fly on a pair of trousers or the accentuated cowl neck on a black waxed jacket.
As with much of Westwood’s collection, variety is the spice of life. Bandeau tops matched with tailored jackets featured, before evening wear patterned dresses appeared, rouched and layered as only Vivienne knows how. Cigarette suits complimented the gowns in the collection, providing an added level of sophistication and elegance to proceedings yet remaining eccentric enough to put the Westwood trademark to them.
The collection remained typically Vivienne and instantly recognisable , using stunning prints and tweeds to create a few pieces. Whilst the set remained relatively subdued on some levels it still managed to pack enough of a punch to stand out in the crowd.
