LFW : Antonio Berardi

Antonio Berardi’s new collection showcased a collection of femininity mixed with the warrior woman.

The collection played with the ideas of soft and hard, presenting light weight chiffon tops matched with heavily jewelled leggings underneath, a perfect combination of the soft and strength. Armored panels in a metallic patent leather featured on many pieces, again furthering this suggestion. The leather panelling and beaded detail remained prevalent throughout this presentation.

Bustier gowns with beaded jackets gave across an olden medieval feel to the collection. The masculine tailoring worked well, using different textures pieced together to create the pieces, which complimented the rest of the collection well. Other pieces included were colour-blocked trousers and slouchy jackets.

The collection is designed for the powerful modern day woman, showcasing an array of looks from evening, to everyday wear to the casual, a sort of capsule wardrobe for any strong leading female.
